Where to put her?
Cymbidium can be placed outside in the garden or on the terrace in the summer months. It prefers half-shadow or modest shadow. As soon as it gets cooler and wet in the fall, you should bring your most sensitive plants inside. Make certain you get them indoors before the frost sets in. Place them on a light, cool spot with a temperature between 10 - 15 degrees Celsius for the wintertime.
Water and nutrition
Water your Cymbidium once a week. Before you water your plants, you should lift them to find if they feel light. Water them only if they do, but do not let their soil dry out completely. Leave the plant immersed in water for five to ten minutes. Let the water leak out afterwards, before you put your Cymbidium back in its pot. Once a month you may add some orchid nutrition.
The ideal day temperature is somewhere between 15 – 25 degrees Celsius. Night temperatures should preferably be between 12 –17 degrees Celsius. A difference between day and night temperature is beneficial to a healthy growth and bloom of your plants.
We are required to inform you that the plant you have bought is intended for decoration, not for consumption.
